Palin's book 'America By Heart' Leaked Prior to release

America By Heart, Sarah Palin's upcoming book set for release on Nov. 23, has been promoted as a tribute to American values. The publisher of this book is taking Gawker Media to court for leaking pages of America By Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith and Flag ahead of its release, according to the article below. A federal judge ordered Gawker to pull the pages, which it did, and prohibited Gawker from "continuing to distribute, publish or otherwise transmit pages from the book" pending the results of a hearing on Nov. 30.

The publisher of Sarah Palin's upcoming book is taking Gawker Media to court for leaking pages of America By Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith and Flag ahead of its release.

HarperCollins Publishers filed the lawsuit in a Manhattan court on Friday, just two days after Gawker published images online of 21 pages from the book as well as its dedication page.

On Saturday, a federal judge ordered Gawker to pull the pages, which it did, and prohibited Gawker from "continuing to distribute, publish or otherwise transmit pages from the book" pending the results of a hearing on Nov. 30.

The court documents demand that Gawker be prevented from "further copyright infringement" and that the site's managers also deliver the material it used to the publisher so it can be destroyed.

HarperCollins is also seeking monetary damages but did not specify the amount.

The blog site responded to the lawsuit by posting a message on its site late Friday titled, "Palin Is Mad at Us for Leaking Pages From Her Book," and linked to websites defining the fair use doctrine of copyright law.
The blog is not the first site to publish excerpts from Palin's second book. It originally refused to take them down after getting a letter from the publisher.

America By Heart, set for release on Nov. 23, has been promoted as a tribute to American values.
In it, the former vice-presidential candidate — who is currently starring in the reality series Sarah Palin's Alaska — lauds Simon Cowell while lambasting President Barack Obama for expressing "a stark lack of faith in the American people."

NEW Reality TV Show, Sarah Palin's Alaska

Sarah Palin continues to be in the center of the news, while she stars in her own reality TV show, Sarah Palin's Alaska.  It probably will be quite entertaining, since Sarah herself is a charismatic and talkative character. She seems to draw watchers, so the reality show has a good chance of being successful.

Happy news! Not long to go before the debut of what will certainly be the television event of the year, the inevitable (and, frankly, surprisingly long time coming) Sarah Palin reality TV show, Sarah Palin's Alaska.

How many new words will this modern day Shakespeare coin over the course of this eight-part series? How many times will she wink and hint that she may or may not run for president in 2012? And most of all, will we finally get to see whether one can indeed see Russia from her house?

Join me on my big red sofa here at 9pm ET (2am GMT) tonight so we can watch and marvel together. Or, if you sadly don't have access to the cultural treasure chest that is US cable, you can just read and marvel as I try my best to transcribe Palin's extraordinary syntax.

Sarah Palin, not happy with the media
The Oval: Tracking the Obama presidency:

The battle between Sarah Palin and the media is getting personal.

The latest flare-up: A conversation on tape between Alaska television journalists about possible disruptions at a rally for Joe Miller, Palin's favored Senate candidate in Alaska.

'Those are corrupt bastards, Chris,' Palin told Chris Wallace of Fox News Sunday. 'That's what is wrong with the media today, when they have their chosen one, and nine times out of 10 -- heck, 10 times out of 10 in the liberal media -- it's going to be the liberal is the chosen one. So we have a problem there with what Joe Miller has had to face.'

Palin also made reference to "kind of what I put up with for two years now with the media."

As Palin considers a presidential bid of her own, it may be worth noting that President Obama doesn't have a real high opinion of the news media either.
"We've made progress, but I know that sometimes, as we're grinding out this change, and there's all the negative ads and the pundits on TV and there's still a lot of unemployment out here, and sometimes people feel discouraged," Obama said Sunday in Cleveland.
